Fast Checkout & Register

Cobro y pagos guía de 1:04 Subtítulos en inglés Transcripción completa abajo

On a busy Saturday the register only has one job: stay out of the way. This walkthrough follows a single sale through PHP Point Of Sale at the pace a real counter runs at.

Lo que verá

  • Scanning a barcode and searching by name, number or SKU
  • Quantities, per-line discounts and a discount across the sale
  • Adding the customer, and what changes when you do
  • Split tender across cash, card, gift card, account and points

Por qué importa

Every extra click at the register costs you twice: once in queue time and once in training. A checkout that works on one screen is the difference between a new hire being useful on day one and being useful in a fortnight.

On a Saturday afternoon, the only thing your register has to do is get out of the way. So the register in PHP Point Of Sale is one screen. Scan a barcode and the line is on the ticket, priced, taxed and counted out of stock. No label within reach? Type any part of the name, the item number or the SKU, and pick it from the list. Quantities, per-line discounts and a discount across the whole sale are all inline. Nothing opens a separate window.

Add the customer and the ticket re-prices itself against their tier, shows their loyalty balance, and records the sale against their history. Then take the money however it turns up. Cash, card, debit, check, gift card, loyalty points, or an account you invoice later — and split it across as many of those as you need.

The receipt prints, and inventory, loyalty, commission and the day's numbers have already moved. That's the whole point.
