Stock sitting in the wrong store is money you have already spent and cannot sell. A transfer takes under a minute and is the cheapest inventory you will ever buy.

Boulder has four of the tent that Fort Collins keeps selling out of. That's a thirty second problem. The inventory summary shows you the imbalance across every location in one table. Switch the receiving screen into transfer mode, choose where the stock is going, and add the items the same way you would add them to a sale. Save it, and both sides move at once: out of the sending store, into the receiving one. No adjustment, no double counting, and no stock that exists in two places.
Because both stores share one catalog, nothing has to be re-keyed at the other end: the item, its cost and its variation arrive with the stock. The transfer report keeps the history, so you can see what moved, when, who moved it and what it was worth.
Sell the stock you already own, from whichever store it's sitting in.
