For United States customers switching to chip card compatible hardware, please read the following information carefully. The terminal you need depends on the payment processor you choose — compare the supported terminals on our payments page. You must purchase these devices directly from POS Portal or your processor or they will not work (They must have encryption keys injected).

To purchase compatible hardware, please review our approved device options and contact us for guidance.

For customers using mobile payment workflows, compatible EMV readers are available through approved channels.

The update is NOT required but there is a liability shift that took effect on October 1st, 2015.

When integrating chip cards we support approved devices. Some hardware options currently require Windows for chip card processing.
