Processor choice
Pick a processor. Do not inherit a locked-in rate ladder.
Lightspeed Retail X-Series publishes a 1.5% card-present rate on-plan. Square publishes in-person rates that step down the software ladder: 2.6%+15¢ on Free, 2.5%+15¢ on Plus, and 2.4%+15¢ on Premium. PHP POS does not require you to take either of those published stacks: keep a supported processor, or request a PHP POS Payments quote.
Lightspeed’s September 2026 notes describe payment-link types, saved payment methods, and chargebacks in POS on Lightspeed’s own stack. That is competitive context. This page does not claim those Lightspeed tools as PHP POS features.

Can I keep my current credit card processor?
Yes. Worldpay, Heartland, CardConnect, Square, Stripe, Braintree, and Dejavoo connect directly. PHP POS does not add an extra processing fee when you use another supported processor.
Which card terminals work with PHP POS Payments?
