A printed ticket is a snapshot of one moment. A kitchen display keeps every open order visible, in order, with the time it has been waiting, and it changes as your team works.
A suspended order stays on the board until it is delivered — or until the sale is completed, cancelled or refunded at the register, which clears it automatically. No curled slips, no tickets on the floor, no reprinting an order that went missing.
Each ticket shows when it was rung up and how long it has been open, so the order that is running late is obvious instead of buried in a stack.
The board reads the same sales your register writes. There is no separate kitchen product to license, sync, or reconcile at the end of the night.
Out of the box the display refreshes itself on a short timer. Set up optional real-time push notifications and an order appears the instant the cashier suspends it — that is what sends it to the kitchen.
There is nothing new to learn at the counter. Ring the order up the way you already do and suspend it — that is what puts it on the board.
Turning it on: enable the Kitchen Display under Config → Sales. The board has four fixed statuses of its own — New, Preparing, Ready and Delivered — and nothing to configure there. What comes from your store is the suspended sale types, the same ones you already use for suspended sales.
The cashier takes the order at the register and suspends it under the sale type that fits: dine in, takeout, or one of your own.
The order shows up under New Orders with its number, its type, the time it was placed, and a timer that starts counting.
Start the order to move it into preparation, then advance the whole ticket or tick off individual line items as each one is plated.
Mark it ready and the front of house sees it, then recalls the suspended sale to take payment.

Narrow the display by item category and by suspended sale type, so a grill screen and a bar screen each show only their own work.
